Your reading reflection papers are a way for you to engage with the materials and themes we are covering for any particular week. At times, I will pose questions for you to respond to. When that is not the case, you should choose one or two points or themes from the readings or class discussions with which to engage. This might, for example, be something you agree (or disagree with), a common theme across all readings, musings on a comment made by one of your classmates in a discussion thread, how something raised in the text(s) resonates with something in your life, questions you have, or some combination of these.
These entries should be critical, and probing. While some background context might be necessary, your job is not to summarize or describe what the readings say. Rather, I am looking for a deeper engagement—for you to synthesize and analyze what the author(s) are saying and reflect on your own thoughts.
As indicated on the syllabus, each should be ~700 words. Reflection papers covering the given material for a week are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday.
Articles Provided for the week are attached
